about

Dialect Trio take their transnational psychedelia into the Sahara with this Malian Blues drone. Blistering guitar and simple, wide open spaces evoke the heat and emptiness that spawned such international music luminaries as Ali Farka Toure, Khaira Arby, Tinariwen, and Bombino. In fact, the piece was inspired by DT’s experiences opening for both Bombino and Khaira Arby within one week in the early spring of 2012. Not content to rest on their laurels, the band takes this tune out into the desert and comes back with something… other.

Dialect Trio Atlanta, Georgia

Dialect Trio play funky, energetic music that knows no bounds. International influences prevail without their mixture sounding like “world” music.
